Comedor Visit 2.0
This comedor visit was much better than the last one because this time we knew all the kids and they knew us so we interacted better and with much more confidence. It was special, not just because we already knew each other but because we presented a lipsync battle to them. Just like the one we did in school. I learned that when you show confidence the other people with who you are interacting have and show much more confidence.

Lipsync Battle
I have never been in a lipsync battle this crazy and funny ever before. It was really fun and entertaining. To bad I didn't win in my class room I would have really like to win so I could have had the same experience my other classmates had.

PERMA Reflection & Resilience
PERMA is what a child or adult needs to have to be positive and happy in life, and with that be successful as well. "is an acronym that stands for the five elements developed by Martin Seligman that account for what makes up the good life” better said by the pioneer of the PERMA who is Martin Seligman. PERMA are actually initials for P: Positive Emotion, E: Engagement, R: Relationships, M: Meaning, and A: Achievement.
The five key aspects represent Positive Emotion: joy, happiness, and cheerfulness; Engagement: is being in the state of flow, that's when your highest strengths match your highest challenges; Relationship: is having good relationships; Meaning: getting to know your meaning in life, what you are, and how you accommodate in society; and Achievement: accomplishment, mastery, meet your goals.
In PERMA my strongest and I guess the only one that I feel in my life would be Relationships, my fathers, teachers, and some of my friend really help keep going and give me good advices. My weakest areas would be all the others.
It is funny how in the test my lowest point was the one I had higher and all the others were fine over average. I really don't know what to think.

Conference Reflection
This conference has been the best conference I have ever been. It made me think different about life and gave a lot of tips in how to succeed. During this time I noticed how everybody was paying attention in comparison to the other conferences where some times even the teachers had to silence us. All the students were enjoying it. The speaker was a Mexican that lived in Italy, he knew a lot about life and how to be successful in it.

Mi Mano Contigo
El Comedor
In "El Comedor" we went over to a colony in the suburbs of the city where the fmilies can't afford a good breakfast for their children so we gathered plenty of money to buy enough food to give the kids breakfast. My time was the one buying the ingredients and making the food. We decided to make french toast since the last two times they had eaten eggs, so we wanted to vary their breakfast, and we needed something cheap.
This feeling was indescribable, I learned that you don't have to go far to see that the world is in hunger, you just need to open your eyes and see your surroundings to notice it.
For next time, something I would change could be to be more organized sice many kids got to eat less than others because other ones cheated to get more.

Habit 5
Habit 5 is all about listening to people and how people not listen to others by spacing out, pretend listening, selective listening, word listening, and self centered listening.
The type of not-listening that describes me the most is pretending listening, there are many times that I pretend to listen to other but I don't, I'm thinking of other things and not paying attention.
5 tips for on how to be a good listener.
1. Look for hints that a person wants to talk — and signal your willingness to listen.
2. Let the other person explain what’s on his or her mind.
3. Encourage the person to elaborate.
4. Paraphrase what someone said.
5. Ask questions and listen to try to help work on a possible solution — but don’t rush to fix things.

WIN-WIN
Examples
of relationships or experiences from your life of a lose-lose, win.lose, and
win-win relationship.
Lose-lose: Once I wanted for dinner a hot dog but everybody wanted tacos, since I didn't wanted tacos I told my dad that no one wanted anything.
Win-lose: I had to be early to my soccer game and so did my brother, but mine was more important, so my mom left me first after a discussion we had.
Win-win: I sold my bike to someone that needed it and with the money I earned from it I bought myself another better bike.
What are your biggest challenges in creating win-win relationships in your life?
There are some times that someone was to end up loosing because there is no other way, so trying to win-win is not always posible.

Acts of Kindness
What is the biggest relationship deposit a
friend has made with you?
My friend Andrea has been one of my best friend since kindergarden. She has always been nice to me and we get along really well.
· What is the biggest relationship deposit a family
member has made with you?
My mom is the one that understands me the most. We get along really well and we understand each other.
· What is the biggest withdrawal someone has made
with you? Were you able to repair that relationship?
I had a best friend in California, he was very nice, he always invited me anywhere and we understood each other. Unfortunately I had to move back to Mexico so I never got to see him again.
· Have you ever made a deposit with a stranger? What did you do?
Yes, this one time I was standing in the sidewalk waiting for my mom to come so I see this girl that look really nice so I come up to her and say hi. This was the start of a really nice conversation.
One act of kindness I have done in my community:
I went to "el comedor" where I made and gave a breakfast to more than 40 children. There we played with them and had fun. Another act of kindness that a made was to pay the dinner of my friends. These to acts certainly had a positive effect among everyone, for me and the ones that I helped.
Gratitude Letter
I felt and really good at the time Zulema, my housekeeper, smiled when I read her the letter. She was really happy since I had never given her a sing of gratitude to her.
Gene 23 Integration Challenge
This challenge helped us knew new people from our generation. I made new friends which I still talk to them today. I really enjoyed this activity, it was really fun since we were tied together with some strings. When someone wanted to go somewhere everybody needed to agree and this was really hard specially to us since we were like six and even harder for me because everybody wanted to run and I was injured. This activity was pretty good I wouldn't change a thing.

Life Plan
Habit 1
1. Which of the 7 Habits do you think
will be most difficult for you and why?
Seek first to understand, because

Paradigm and a Principle? Give an example of each to help explain your answer.
A paradigm is an idea someone has in
mind about something, for example, I dont thing I can get in to varsity, I’m to

My Personal Story
Hey! I’m German
Quiroga Moreno, I was born on St. Patrick's Day, on March 17, 2000 with my twin
who unfortunately died the same day. Born in a beautiful town called Cd. Obregón,
beautiful for its small city like atmosphere, tasty food as cebosos tacos,
carne asada and unique coyotas.
I am a child
of average height, black hair and brown eyes. I am friendly, a bit sarcastic,
but calm when it needs to.
The first
memory I have is when entering third of kindergarten in La Salle, I remember arriving
with my parents behind really nervous, that moment only two children came to me
and were very friendly, a girl named Andrea and a boy named Ivan. Since that
point on they pased to be my best friends. That
same year my fathers put me in music class to learn the only instrument that is
stringed and percussion at the same time, piano. I went to music school when I
was five where I lasted only two years and left to study to the United States.
The first
day in California felt like my first day of kindergarten. I knew no english but
the numbers and the alphabet. A week later I understood it, and in three weeks
I could write and talk fluently. A year
later, in 4th grade of elemantary I got a violin, my second favorite
instrument, and entered the school orchestra were presented in several parts, I
loved it.
Fifth grade
and finally back to Mexico, it felt wonderful. This was one of my best years,
this year I got into track and field to which I owe my best experiences. I entered
long jump without knowing a thing and won the first competition of a
sector, that day my mom saw my potential
and hired a personal coach. I passed the next competition of the other sector
then the following year won Cajeme county which sets me up to the satate
tournament the next year.
Next year
the state tournament came and went to Hermosillo. After 5 jumps I surpassed by
far the other player’s score to remain in first place. Now I passed to thenationals
in Monterrey in four months.
We arrived to a Sheraton Hotel. Everytime we
went to the stadium where we competed we were escorted by many polices and even
a helicopter, I felt important. The next day after we arrived I competed in the
first elimination were I got second place and passed to the finals which were
two days later. I reached the final and for my bad luck I warmed up to early
and got tired. In my final jump I jumped perfect, I flew, but unfortunately I
fell on my back lost some score. I got 4th place.
I’m
currently cursing freshmen year in high school at Tec de Monterrey. I try to go
on the right track in order to have a good future and succeed in life. I have
had a short life, I have had many adventures that I will remember my whole life.
